About the Founder

Meet Steve Kitchens: Pastor, Author, Disciple-Maker
Living the Word. Sharing the Truth.

Steve Kitchens is a man whose life journey reflects a deep passion for truth, leadership, and transformation—both in the classroom and in the Kingdom of God.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Berry College, followed by a Master of Divinity and Doctorate of Ministry from Knox Theological Seminary, equipping him both academically and spiritually for a life of ministry and teaching. But his calling wasn't linear—it was built through decades of experience in both education and the marketplace.

Early in his career, Steve taught high school history and coached varsity basketball for six years, investing in the minds and hearts of young people. He then stepped into the world of business, where he spent twenty successful years as a sales and marketing executive. During that season, God was preparing him—sharpening his leadership, communication, and strategic thinking. Eventually, Steve was called into full-time ministry and a renewed commitment to Christian education and spiritual formation.

Over the next several years, Steve played a key role in multiple leadership positions. He served on the leadership team at Westminster Academy, and later, for ten years, as Head of School at Weston Christian Academy, which received national recognition as a Blue Ribbon School in 2019. His leadership helped shape not just academic programs, but entire generations of students growing in faith and character.

At the same time, Steve ministered within the local church. He served as an Associate Pastor at First Baptist Church at Weston and led as Board Chair for Knox Theological Seminary, giving back to the institution that had helped shape his faith and theology.
What ties all these seasons together is Steve’s unwavering love for the truth of God’s Word and his calling to equip others—especially the next generation—to walk in that truth. His heart beats for discipleship, leadership development, and clear, biblically-rooted teaching that challenges the mind and transforms the heart.
That same passion is what led Steve to launch Teaching with Truth—a platform dedicated to helping believers grow deeper in their knowledge of Scripture, their walk with Jesus, and their understanding of what it truly means to be a disciple.

When he’s not teaching or writing, Steve enjoys traveling, hiking, reading, exercising, and spending quality time with his wife Bradley, who shares his love for adventure and ministry.
Whether you’re a new believer, a seasoned leader, or simply someone hungry for truth, Steve invites you to journey with him—into the Word, into discipleship, and into a deeper life of faith.

Steve’s Mission
To Make Disciples. To Share the Gospel. To Point People to Christ.

Steve Kitchens' mission is simple and unwavering: to make disciples and bring people closer to God. There is no hidden agenda, no personal platform to build, and no desire for recognition—just a deep, abiding passion to teach God's Word and help others walk in the life-changing truth of the Gospel.

Steve believes that true transformation happens not through programs or performance, but through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. His heart is for those who are hungry, searching, or even unsure—those who feel the pull of God’s Spirit and long for something deeper, truer, and eternal. He longs to see lives changed by grace, families strengthened by truth, and individuals empowered by the Word of God.

Through Teaching with Truth, Steve offers biblical teaching, discipleship resources, and encouragement for the everyday believer who wants to grow. Whether you're taking your first steps toward faith or you’ve walked with the Lord for decades, his goal remains the same: to lead you closer to Jesus—not as a fan, but as a faithful follower.

This mission isn’t about Steve. It’s about Christ.
It’s about making Him known, lifting Him high, and helping others do the same.
